Here's my suggested day's itinerary, allowing you to enjoy Waseda's beautiful parks, bizarre architecture, peaceful temple and my hands-down favourite cafe in Tokyo.

On November 1st the PPAP, or Pen Pineapple Apple Pen, Café opened on the fourth floor of the Tokyo Sky Tree, and I, being no stranger to viral Internet comedy, was ready to go.

Horie. This area combines boutique fashion of areas and intimate coffee shops without the bustle of areas such as Umeda and nearby Shinsaibashi. This area is also home to bicycle stores, furniture shops and second hand clothing stores.

The famous coffee chain Starbucks was found in 1971. As of June 2015, the company has 22,519 shops around the world. 1165 of those shops are in Japan (data from December 2015). Starbucks arrived to Japan in 1995, but has already gained a great amount of popularity due to Japanese people's obsession with the magic bean drink. People call it shortly スタバ (sutaba) and make it the country’s largest coffee chain, due to the combination of energizing coffee, variety, and excellent market skills.

Japan is an East Asian country that has their unique tradition and lifestyle. Coming to Japan from a Western country might make you think you will not see a lot of western influence here. If you love classical music and used to watch performances back home, worry not. In Sapporo you can enjoy watching live classic music regularly being held in Sapporo “Kitara” Concert Hall. It is located in the Chuo ward area of Sapporo, in the famous Nakajima Park.

I met my first stray cat when I went jogging in Japan. There are many domestic cats walking around (so far I have never seen a stray dog here), but strays always look different and give me different looks. That skinny cat I met had white fur, with lots of dirty stains and even some blood ones. Luckily, I could see him/her again when I went to the same spot again.
