Coffee shops are everywhere in Japan, which is awesome. I love that Family Mart and Lawson now offer fresh coffee to go for a reasonable price. But making my own perfect cup every day, I thought, would be too hard to try for myself. Until I was introduced to Hario.

As a lover of tofu, I give it my seal of approval with confidence. The shop does get busy and they don’t take reservations on the weekends, so plan your travel if you’re visiting that area and give this place a try!

Themed cafes in Tokyo are aplenty. On top of two quirky cafes that I visited previously, the Alice in Wonderland Café was another café that was on my to-visit list. There are numerous Alice in Wonderland themed cafes in Tokyo, showing the popularity of this concept.

Located just a few minutes walk from Nishitestu Yakuin train station on Jonan-sen, REC coffee is easy to get to. The atmosphere is casual and pleasant, and the smell of freshly baked delicacies, very tempting. But it’s the coffee that I’m going for and it doesn’t disappoint.
