After moving to Tokyo and experiencing the hustle and bustle of Akihabara, Shinjuku, and Harajuku I was searching for a place to escape the crowded and fast-paced streets. I wanted to see a different side of Japan. A more quiet and peaceful part of the country. When I asked a Japanese friend, he suggested going to Niijima, a small island off of the coast of Izu.

Kaiten student service is a special type of organization in Beppu that sells a wide range of cheap products and helps students to move out from their dormitories to any other place within the Beppu area. They provide a decently priced van for the students to move out into another house. First time visitors to Japan like to explore what is known as “The Golden Route of Japan”. This renowned route follows the old Tokaido Road from Tokyo to Kyoto and is a great choice for people who have never visited Japan before. For those of us who are looking for something a little bit different and off the beaten track, I recommend “The Dragon Route of Central Japan”. This new route offers visitors beautiful natural landscapes as well as a taste of traditional Japanese culture and history in a way that lets you explore the heart of Japan and its culture.

There are several reasons to visit the town of Inuyama in Aichi prefecture: the castle designated as the National Treasure, the Urakuen with its National Treasure teahouse and the nearby museum or theme parks like Meiji Mura and Little World. But for me the best reason to visit Inuyama, is to witness the Ukai fishing, a traditional fishing method using cormorants that apparently dates back some 1300 years.

The botanical garden at Hamamatsu is primarily for flowers and plant-viewing, but the garden management authorities have endeavoured to recreate the gardens into a haven for visitors with some quirky plant-displays, a play area, entertainment and restaurants — all designed to appeal to families and groups. This makes it an interesting day out for people of all ages.

Compared to what they were a decade ago, the dining options around this station have increased remarkably. Because of its ease of accessibility and the variety of food on offer, Kanayama is definitely a worthwhile destination for someone who wishes to spend a decent evening out.

The Shibazakura (Lawn Cherry) Festival was always something I had wondered about. In all my three experience in Japan, I had not even set foot at the festival. This year came around and I put my foot down. It was now time to visit the famous Shibazakura Festival.

It’s at the foot of Mount Fuji. “Fujisan” towers over “Fuji-Q” Highland, so, as you zip around the park on one of the fastest roller coasters in the world, stumble terrified out of the “Haunted Hospital”, or happen to glance up as you are ice-skating around a light-up winter wonderland, there it is.

Whether you are a daredevil or not, Mishima Skywalk in Shizuoka provides spectacular views of Mount Fuji and the surrounding Suruga Bay. Should you go, a good time to visit the Mishima Skywalk is shortly before closing where the pedestrian footfall is low and the views of the multi-Hurd sunset are the best!
