Hard Rock Cafe in Fukuoka
If you’re in the mood for rock and delicious food, then Fukuoka’s Hard Rock Cafe is a must-visit place!
It has everything that you would expect a Hard Rock Cafe anywhere in the world to have: memorabilia from famous artists, a subtle ambient, delicious food and many live events throughout the year, usually from local and indie artists.
Fukuoka’s Hard Rock Cafe is located right next to the Yahoo! Japan Dome where the city’s biggest concerts are held, and is also a 10 minute drive from the famous Marinoa City outlet center.
When you enter the Hard Rock Cafe you will be greeted by the friendly and very cool-looking staff, and comfortably loud rock n’ roll music. Sit at the bar, the standard tables, or the booths, and get ready to enjoy an evening of juicy burgers and mouthwatering desserts! There are quite a few foreigners who gather here, and you are also very likely to see the staff surprise someone with a birthday cake, a big cheer, and a specially chosen song by the person who organized the surprise party. I am yet to visit the Cafe without at some point singing the Happy Birthday song for a stranger. But the atmosphere is so welcoming that it really is easy to join in on the fun!
The menu is mostly comprised of various burgers and BBQs, as well as a selection of American-style desserts. The prices for the burgers range from about \ 1500 to \ 2500, while the desserts are about \ 600. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available, and you can also get a drink, like Coca Cola or Sprite, from the Free Refill box for \ 450. The portions are quite big so there is no way that you will be leaving the Hard Rock Cafe with an empty stomach.
While you wait for your order you can explore the memorabilia and guitars, and take as many pictures as you want. If you are looking for any specifically Hard Rock Cafe items, check out their shop for t-shirts, hats, accessories, bags, and much more! If you’ve never been to a Hard Rock Cafe before, then you should know that this isn’t your regular burger joint, but more like a rock n’ roll theme park.
Although you can of course visit the cafe during the day, there probably won’t be many people around and not much happening. But after 6 pm the cafe gets very crowded with people even waiting in line to enter, and the atmosphere really picks up! Live events are usually held on Fridays, and you may want to get there a little earlier to grab a good seat for the show!
Doors open at 11:30 am and close at 11:00 pm on all days except Saturday when it’s open until midnight (last orders one hour before closing time). There is a car park right behind the cafe which you pay hourly for, and if you are coming by car from another city, the highway exit is very near. This is great place to relax, sway to the music, or organize a private party!
