Kappabashi Dogu Matsuri: Tokyo's Kitchen Tools Festival

Kappbashi Dogu Street is an unusual shopping street even in worldwide, as there are a row of stores specializing in items related to food. Total of 170 stores stand in a row of some 800 meter-long strip, are selling eating utensils, wrapping materials, kitchen tools, food samples, foodstuffs, and cheffs’ uniforms and more.

The annual event held at Kappabashi Dogu Street “Kappabashi Dogu Matsuri” will be held between October 7th through 13th, 2014. This is an annual event and food and kitchen tools are sold at extremely low prices. If you are in Tokyo around this period, you can purchase your sourvenirs here at reasonable prices!

This is a kitchen tool department store where it sells a wide range of items including western dishes, Japanese dishes, bartending tools, cooking tools, and baking tools.

Ganso Shokuhin Sample-ya

You can see a wide variety of food samples that often are displayed at the entrance of eateries in Japan! There are samples of ramen noodles, sushi, pizza, cakes, tempura, etc, and they even sell food samples for professional use and magnets and key chains made with miniaturized food samples.
