Nagasaki Kunchi is a autumn festival for Suwa Jinja Shrine, the local guardian deity for Nagasaki. You must see the dedicated dance for this festival as it is designated as a National Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property.

This festival is held every year for three days starting from October 7th to 9th.

There are many variety of the dedicated dance which is designated as a National Important Intangible Folk Culture Property. The atmosphere unique with this festival is all created by dragon dance, spouting whale, Taiko-yama, Amidara manzai, goshuin-sen, these are items relating to Portugal and the Netherlands.
Nagasaki Kunch is one of the three largest Kunchis in Japan along with Hakata Okunchi, and Karatsu Kunchi.
