Writer: Rhian McLaughlin

English teacher by day, adventurer by night (and technically by weekend), Rhian has done a lot of exploring around Japan since moving here seven months ago. Whilst based in Saitama and working in neighbouring Tokyo, she has so far journeyed as far as Hokkaido to the north and Kyushu to the south, and hopes to see a lot more of Japan in her remaining fifteen months. She loves writing about her adventures and sharing tips about travel and cultural experiences. Before moving to Japan, Rhian completed a PhD in Medieval History, and is still definitely a history nerd at heart, so she is looking forward to visiting a lot of historical sites in Japan, especially the castles!
