Writer: Raphael Thevenin

My name is Raphael and I come from Bordeaux, a quiet city in the Southwest of France. This city is a sister city of Fukuoka and this is how I ended up in Japan. I immediately fell in love with the country and Kyushu in particular. I am trying to make the most of my free time to discover it all! I love traveling, playing the trumpet and watching/doing sports. I wish my Japanese speaking skill was better! Ja Gambarimashou.

Fukuoka: A Place for Great Food

When you speak about Japanese culture (at least in Europe) you can usually categorize two different kinds of people. On one hand, the one more into traditional culture (ikebana, calligraphy, taiko), on the other hand, the one more interested in Japanese pop culture (mangas, music, games).
