Tokyo Game Show
Are you a game lover? If so, I recommend you to go to Tokyo Game Show, which will be open from September 17th to September 20th this year. Unfortunately, it will be open to the general public only on September 19th and 20th. This event is usually known as TGS, which is a video game expo or convention held annually in September in the Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. The first Tokyo Game Show was held in 1996, and it is one of the world’s biggest game shows. Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) and Nikkei Business Publications, Inc. developed this Tokyo Game Show. So, let’s know more about the exhibitions in this event.
There are about 12 exhibition areas, such as:

2. Business Solution Area
3. Smartphone Game Area/ Social Game Area
4. Romance Simulation Game Area
5. Game Device Area
6. Overseas Pavilions
7. Asia New Stars Area
8. Indie Game Area
9. Game School Area
10. Merchandise Sales Area
11. Family Area
12. Event Stage
The main attraction from this event is the general exhibition area, where is a place for introducing digital gaming entertainment and any related products are showcased. At this general exhibition area, there are so many famous game companies, such as Square Enix, Bandai, Capcom, Sony Computer Entertainment, and Namco who have demos for their game products. Of course you can try their games too there.
Merchandise Sale Area
In this area, you will find so many shops of game developers that sell anime and video game there. Not only that, but you can also buy the character merchandise, souvenirs, and costumes of game characters. Vendors include Konami and Square Enix.
Game School Area
Professional schools and universities will gather there for future creators.
Smartphone Game Area
In this area, they will focus on introducing so many games for smart devices, such as iPhones, Androids, Windows Phone, and various tablets.
Game Device Area
In this exhibition, you can find so many game devices for home use game consoles, portable game consoles, and PC games including the controllers, keyboards, mouses and headphones.
Tokyo Game Show also attracts so many cosplayers to come there. There will be a fashion show for them, and a grand march of robot cosplayers too.
As I said before, this Tokyo Game Show is held in Makuhari Messe, Chiba Prefecture, and you have to walk for about 5 to 10 minutes from JR Kaihin Makuhari Station. To go to that station, you can take a rapid train or local train from Tokyo Station to Kaihin Makuhari Station.
For the admissions, you can enter the exhibitions for 1200 yen (1000 yen if you buy in advance). This Tokyo Game Show will be open from 10 am to 5 pm.
