When thinking about Japanese animation, Akihabara is the place that usually comes to mind. However, a lot of famous animation production companies actually have their offices in Nakano, a culturally diverse town in Tokyo often called the “holy land of Japanese subculture”. You can find many Japanese subculture shops in the Nakano Broadway shopping mall in front of Nakano station.
