Starbucks Japan Co., Ltd. and Wire and Wireless Co., Ltd. have launched a system which enables access to a free Wi-Fi service called “at_STARBUCKS_Wi2”. Available in all Starbucks shops in Japan, it allows customers to authenticate via an SNS account such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, or Yahoo! Japan, and do not require preliminary registration.
As the Japanese government is expecting a significant increase of foreign tourists for the next years, and with the Tokyo Olympic Games to be held in 2020, Starbucks shops will become casual and convenient Wi-Fi spots for visitors.
With its extensive shop network all over the country, Starbucks will be the ideal place to have a coffee break while researching your next destination during your stay in Japan.
