Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Commemorates 70 Million Visitors
To commemorate 70 million visitors to Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, “Laser Mapping Show” is to be held from February 6th to 15th. A light show will be projected on the wall of Warehouse No.1.
The Warehouse opened in 2002 and has received lots of visitors achieving the total number of 70 million on December 21st, 2014. To thank visitors and to offer new value, this light festival will combine the historical building and the latest video representation technique. “Laser Mapping” refers to a production method to create special visual effects by casting laser beam of images, patterns or messages on a building or an object corresponding to its shape. This method is widely used in advertisements or arts and has been gathering attention recently. The dynamic and colorful lighting in the night view of Minato Mirai creates a fantastic and extraordinary atmosphere.
Visitors can send an original message to be shown during the festival. The message will appear on the following five days: February 7th, 8th, 11th, 14th and 15th. (Up to 77 messages a day) Do you want to propose in a romantic way over the Valentine? Do you want to convey your feelings and appreciation to your precious one? Heartwarming messages will be delivered for you in this cold winter.
At shops and restaurants in Warehouse No.1 and No.2, limited goods and menu associated with the number 7 will be offered from January 30th to March 1st.

■Number of message: 77 messages *In case of too many applicants, a draw will be held.
■Contents of the message: “appreciation to your precious one”, “love message to your partner” etc…
*the message should be within 20 words (Hiragana, Katakana, Alphabet only)
■Entrance fee: free
■Application period: January 24th to February 12th *we close the entry three days before at 8pm the respective projection day. We let those elected know two days before at latest.
