Enjoying Spending Time in Nature: Country Farm Tokyo German Village

Country Farm Tokyo German Village (東京ドイツ村 ) is a theme park located in Sodegaura, Chiba Prefecture. The concept of this park is "Enjoying Spending Time With Nature". The park is indeed surrounded by trees and flowers. As you get near to this theme park you will notice its huge grounds covered with grass and the structure of the buildings in the entrance will definitely make the whole scene look like Germany. The area of this theme park is 19 times larger than Tokyo Dome.

The park has a huge playground, kids' facilities, flower gardens, zoo, amusements and many other entertainment facilities in which kids and adults can both enjoy while also getting out in nature. You can also eat some German food and beer while admiring the seasonal flowers like the spring phlox, hydrangea that blossom during the rainy season, the summer blooming blue salvia and the autumn cosmos flower. In winter season, enjoy the fantastic world of lights which has been certified as one of the East Region’s Three Major Illumination sites.

One best way to also enjoy the scenery of this park is to have a picnic, some people bring a tent with them but do not worry if you do not have one because you can sit under the trees.

Tokyo German Village Best Attractions

Pedal boat/ Hand boat

It is a swan-shaped style boat for three to four people. You can encounter wild birds around the pond including ducks. And it is also covered with lots of trees in the corner. Kids and adults can enjoy this attraction.

Rate: 350 yen for 15 minutes
Remarks: Free for children under 4

Ferris Wheel

A Ferris wheel with a diameter of 40 meters located at an elevation of 75 meters above sea level. The German color gondola of black, red, and yellow is perfect for viewing illuminations and cherry blossoms. Mount Fuji and Tokyo Bay can be viewed from it on a sunny day.

The park also has a place where adults and children (from elementary 3rd grade) can enjoy. Aim the bow at the center of about 10 meters ahead. There is also a course for primary school students.

Illumination During the Winter Season

You can also enjoy the Illumination Event which is one of the park's biggest events. There is an illuminated tunnel and every year the theme is different. Using 250,000 LED lights. The best way to also enjoy it is by riding a Ferris wheel during the night time when everything starts to light up so you can enjoy the overlooking view of the illumination.

Rose Garden
Flower Spots at Tokyo German Village

There is a circular rose garden on the left side just after entering the entrance gate. In the early summer and autumn, about 200 species of colorful roses will be at their peak bloom.

"The healing space that seasonal flowers bloom occasionally". You can enjoy the blue sky, the lawn and the bright flowers in a relaxed manner.

Information: It is strictly not allowed to take your dogs with you except in Dog Land. But the park has a facility where in you can temporarily keep your dog while you enjoy the other sites of the park.
