Market squares that are transformed into beautiful little villages made of wood and fairy lights, the scent of cinnamon and oranges lingering in the air as you wander around the aisles.

My name is Kira Bethke and I moved to Japan for the second time in my life. Three years ago, I was here as a student to improve my Japanese skills, experience the people and culture (and of course, the heavenly food!) and to make lots of new friends!
This time, I am here for a working holiday and I’d like to travel as much as I can. Having worked at an airport, I’d love to explore what’s beyond Germany. Japan still has so many sights to offer to me and I’d like to share my experiences with you - mainly through the eyes of a freelance-writer and travel-addict, but also as a pop culture lover and soon-to-be worker in Japan!
