Writer: Ingrid Lindstrom

I earned my M.A. in Philosophy of Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2013. I moved to Japan in late 2013, and spent nine months in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka prefecture, before relocating to Kawasaki, Kanagawa prefecture, where I teach English in a public school. I love onsens, tsukemen (dipping noodles), Japanese literature, and exploring Japan’s natural history. In my free time, I enjoy studying for the kanji kentei (kanji character writing test), and learning Japanese through singing 70’s and 80’s disco and J-pop classics at karaoke boxes all over Kawasaki and Tokyo.
