Tips for Tokyo Disneyland

Beyond my imagination! My one day trip to Tokyo Disneyland is definitely like taking a trip down my memory lane. It brought back wonderful memories of my childhood when I was in the United Kingdom. I got a chance to visit Tokyo Disneyland last November with my beloved wife. Tokyo Disneyland is located in Urayasu, Chiba, near Tokyo. If you happen to visit Tokyo Disneland from Tokyo Station, you may take the JR Line and head straight to Maihama Station.

The ticket price for one day pass is around 6,900 yen per person. The first attraction that caught our attention was Greetings with Disney Character at the main entrance. Being my wife’s unpaid lifetime photographer, I took several photos of her and the Disney characters (Indeed, it was her childhood dream to visit Tokyo Disneyland and meet the Disney characters). We spent nearly 12 hours in the park enjoying the attractions and stuffs. It was worth every penny. We will definitely come back again soon!

For those who wish to pay a visit to Tokyo Disneyland in the near future, here are some quick tips and information for you:

1. Fastpass tickets

If you wish to ride and enjoy the attractions without having to queue in line, Disney’s FASTPASS ticket would be the perfect alternative for you! You can get your own FASTPASS ticket at the FASTPASS ticketing machines near the entrance of the attraction. The examples of attractions with FASTPASS tickets are Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and etc.

2. Services for visitors with Infants

For those who visit Tokyo Disneyland with small children, stroller rental service is available inside the park! You may also go to Baby Center to change the diapers and nurse your infants.

3. Bring your own Bento. Why not?

There are plenty of cafes in Tokyo Disneyland but to avoid the long queue, you can bring your own bento (lunch box) and eat it at picnic areas provided in the park. It is very useful and convenient as it can save up your time and you can use that time to visit other attractions or purchase souvenirs. My wife and I brought bento from home but we did enjoy some Disney’s ice-creams that were purchased at the park.

4. A prayer room is available (for Muslims)

Good news for Muslims tourists! A prayer room is available at Tokyo Disneyland. You may ask for the specific location at the information counter, Main Street House. It is not advisable to ask the staffs inside the park for the location as some of them may not even know about the existence of the prayer room.

5. Suggested attractions for adults

Tokyo Disneyland is not only a place for children and kids. Adults like us can also enjoy riding the attractions there! Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain are completely worth a try! Not forgetting the Once Upon a Time nighttime show at Cinderella castle. The fireworks, spotlights and lasers are impressive. It is a must-watch show when you visit Tokyo Disneyland. Priority seats for the show are available by lottery.
