One of the famous sightseeing spots in Furano is "Farm Tomita".
From the beginning of June to the end of August, a trolley train called "Norokko-go" runs between Asahikawa and Furano.
And only for the period, a station called Lavender is made nearby Farm Tomita.
From the station to Farm Tomita, it takes about 10 minutes by walk.
If you like to see more lavenders, please get off the train at Nakafurano station.
If you walk down for about 10 minutes from Nakafurano station to Farm Tomita, you will see the municipal lavender garden.
There are not only lavenders but also sunflowers and poppies in the garden.
There is a lift to go to the summit because the inside of the garden slopes.
If you ride the lift and look down around, you can see the flower garden from a different angle than the other places.
After relaxing in the garden, you should be off to Farm Tomita.
You will get there in about 20 minutes by walk.
You can enjoy different scenery whenever you go there because different flowers bloom in different season, though the farm is always packed with colorful flowers.
The view of the lavender fields with the Tokachi mountains behind is the best part.
Lavenders usually bloom from about the end of June, but the season seems to change a little bit depending on the temperature in recent years.
People can enjoy lavender all year round in Farm Tomita since they also cultivate them in greenhouses.
There are many shops on site, so the time will pass quickly while eating ice creams, looking souvenirs, or etc.
Since it's a famous spot, there are a lot of tourists and students for school excursion, so I recommend that you go there with time to spare.
