As a huge Disney fanatic, any excuse to make the trip out is a good one but Halloween at Tokyo Disney Resort is especially alluring. While I tend to favor Disney Sea over Disneyland, I will ALWAYS pick the latter when it comes to Halloween theme.
This year, DisneySea’s annual Halloween celebration takes place September 8th – November 1st! This year, DisneySea’s theme is focused around villains! Disney’s most notorious villains take center stage and take over shows, merchandise and even the menu!
Tokyo Disney is known for their seasonal celebrations. Easter, Halloween and Christmas are the most well known. However, those aren’t the only ones Tokyo Disney offers. Tokyo Disneyland’s yearly Natsu Matsuri (summer festival) starts in July and doesn’t end until August 31st!
In Kashiikaen amusement park, they have many types of event on the stage almost every weekend. Several kinds of hero shows (super sentai like Ninninjaa, Kamen Rider, Ultraman, etc), comedy shows, character shows such as Doraemon and other fun performances can be enjoyed depending on the weekend you wish to go.
Tokyo Disney Sea is generally considered to be the more “grown up” of the two parks, and this is reflected in the way each park celebrates Easter – at Tokyo Disney Land, it’s all bunnies and egg-painting, but at Tokyo Disney Sea, it’s a celebration of the wonders of Spring Fashion!
Sprawling forests, waterfalls, dotted intermittently with small, family-run onsen hotels cover much of the prefecture. You’ll also find plenty of good beaches in the summer, where you can relax and unwind as you top up your tan.
